ANDREW FEKETE, 1954 - 1986
Andrew Fekete was an abstract expressionist artist, architect, poet and diarist who died from an Aids related disease in 1986, aged just thirty-two. A practicing Jungian alchemist, Andrew Fekete painted and wrote from trances, dreams and intense visions. His art and writings explore an inner psychic landscape populated with faces, forms and images that express a heightened awareness of religious values. Andrew, a former student of architecture at the University of Liverpool, is being exhibited at the Victoria Gallery & Museum, University of Liverpool, 18th November 2016 – 22nd April 2017.

Diaries
Andrew left behind fifty diaries covering his entire life from the age of sixteen until his death at the age of thirty-three. The diaries relate both his inner and outer life, and contain his principle writings - autobiographical pieces such as "The Voyage into Night" and "The Quest for Gold" as well as descriptions of his dreams and visions, including his exceptional "Journal of Active Imagination". A selection of illustrations from the diaries are open to the public. The entire collection of diary illustrations is available on request.

Exhibitions have been held in Szekesfehervar, at the National Dance Theatre, Budapest, at the Berekai Studie, Budapest and most recently at the Victoria Gallery & Museum, Liverpool.
